Victoria Stroop Task
System Requirements
Minimum: 800×600
Recommended: 1280×800
May be challenging for colorblind participants
Description
Classic Stroop color-word interference test using the Victoria format with three conditions: color naming, word reading, and color-word interference.
About This Test
Participants complete three blocks in sequence: Part D (colored dots - name the color of dots), Part W (colored words - read the word), and Part C (color naming with incongruent color words - the classic Stroop interference condition where participants must name the ink color while ignoring the word meaning). Participants use keyboard keys to indicate their color responses. Incorrect responses are highlighted and participants must correct them before proceeding.

Data Output
Creates two data files: (1) vstroop-<subnum>.csv with trial-by-trial data containing columns: subnum (participant code), round (round number), block (block number: 1=Part D colored dots, 2=Part W word reading, 3=Part C color-word interference), trial (trial number within block), word (word shown: 0 for dots or color word name), color (ink color name), part (trial type: 'd'=dot, 'w'=word, 'c'=color), xpos (x position on screen), ypos (y position on screen), resp (response key number 1-4), rname (response color name), correct (trial accuracy: 1=correct, 0=incorrect), intrusion (whether error matched word text: 1=yes, 0=no), numresponses (cumulative number of responses so far in block), time0 (trial start time in ms), timea (time of last presentation in ms), timeend (response time in ms), trialtime (total trial time: timeend - time0), responsetime (time from last presentation to response: timeend - timea). Note: Incorrect responses require correction before proceeding, so multiple rows per trial may appear for trials with errors; (2) vstroop-report-<subnum>.txt containing text summary with completion times, total responses, correct responses, errors, and intrusions for each part (D, W, C) and efficiency ratios (C/D and C/W).
